Inspiring Determination: Finding Value In One's Occupation and Service Pt. 1

With the realization of the "Great Resignation," people dare to look elsewhere, and even where it all began, within themselves. I have been fortunate to work with counselors and mentors in healthcare, mental health, and entrepreneurship. I witnessed and worked with many people who struggled to find value in their occupations or service. There are many reasons that this is the case, yet frequently, they don't know how to apply what they do for others. This blog post will serve as an encouragement for those who feel like there's no point in doing anything. Job satisfaction doesn't come from what you do; it comes from how you serve others while doing it! Here lives a challenging task because it requires you to honestly ask, "Would I be Ok doing this job if I never received the acknowledgment of a job well done?"

Do what You love, and you'll never work a day in your life.

Unfortunately, people often face a world where one's occupation and service are considered unimportant. It's not uncommon to hear and see people unable to find value in their work. Job satisfaction is an essential aspect of life that you should not overlook. If you're feeling discouraged about your job or the type of work you do, then this blog post is for you! This blog post will discuss how determining the importance of your occupation and service can lead to higher job satisfaction and motivation.

Job satisfaction doesn't come from what you do; it comes from how you serve others while doing it!

If you're only in the job market for money, then you'll never find happiness. It's not where your paycheck comes from that determines how satisfied you are with your work; it's what you do to serve others. Job satisfaction is what you get from knowing that others are thankful for your work. Job satisfaction comes not only from the actual job itself but through service to those around you.

Job satisfaction is an essential aspect of life that you should not overlook.

If people find themselves dissatisfied with their occupation or service, they need to rethink how they view it. Job dissatisfaction often stems from many overlooked reasons why the person even chose this type of career in the first place! People must ask themselves if there was a specific reason why they wanted to do what they're doing now. If so, then stick with it and continue finding value in every opportunity presented before them! The National Institute of Mental Health study shows that counselors who have found meaning within their careers report being more satisfied than those without (Bergsma, 2013).

Job satisfaction affects how you feel about your life. You need to make sure that you are doing a job that makes you happy, not just any job.

In conclusion, job satisfaction is not something you find solely from what your occupation or service entails. What you do isn't the only source of inspiration; the hours, wage, work conditions, environment, and people influence how you think and feel. Consider all of these factors when choosing an occupation. Job satisfaction stems from knowing that there's a purpose for doing what you do and how it serves others around you!
